As stated in the Springfield’s newspaper, The Republican, “you can turn back time”. On Tuesday November 29, 2016 Electric Time Company returned three restored bronze and marble silhouette clocks to the Springfield Union Station project in Springfield, Massachusetts.
One of the two larger clocks was restored to hang in the main terminal and is shown in the photographs and video. The original marble dials were cleaned and shined. The bronze dial markings and bezels were cleaned and their patina restored. The original dial lettering was re-stenciled onto the dials. A brand new Electric Time Company clock movement and control equipment were added to the main terminal clock, creating an accurate time system for the revitalized station.
