Turning a concept or thought into a clock seems like an easy process – doesn’t it? The trick is in doing it correctly. Icrave Design LLC of New York, NY, USA asked Electric Time Company to create a clock from their rendering. The project had a short time frame – from rendering to installation in exactly one month.
The one-of-a-kind neon clock created for Mimosa Restaurant at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport has a completely custom hexagonal shape, red neon lighting, a special yellow paint finish, and custom style dial markings and hour and minute hands. The engineering department created the drawings for customer approval and for the fabrication of the clock. Samples were made up and sent out for approval. A special neon tube was blown. The materials were purchased and fabricated – finishes were applied. The clock was assembled, tested, crated and shipped. All in one month.
When you need a very special clock for your project Electric Time Company is yours for Designing Time.
