In the 1980’s The Colebrook Group of Springfield, Massachusetts asked Electric Time Company to restore a street clock that had come into their possession for a real estate project they were developing. We owned the patterns to what we thought was the only standard two dial street clock made by E. Howard Clock Company, so after reviewing the photographs we thought the clock was the standard size. However, after a site survey by our engineering staff of the clock stored in a warehouse, we realized the Springfield clock was larger. Instead of the standard 15’6″ height, this clock was approximately 20′ tall with the dials proportionally scaled to the height. This clock is somewhat unique. We had never happened across one before.
The clock no longer had its original “crown” style header. Our client requested we add the solid cast Howard style header.
